What You Will Do:
The Director of Global Brand Engagement will lead Global Advocacy & Influencer (A&I) and Communications for IT Cosmetics (Makeup and Skincare). This role will develop and optimize the brand’s influencer and PR strategy and work closely with the Global Social team to build cohesive storytelling that supports the overall integrated marketing plan, with the objectives to maximize brand awareness, consumer engagement, and product desirability worldwide.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute powerful A&I assets to launch new products and support core pillars and brand key moments in a disruptive and locally relevant way to recruit new consumers and maintain loyalists.
- Provide ongoing strategic counsel for 360 communications plans (inclusive of PR, Cause, Advisory Board & Influencer) to local markets for launches and reanimation programs.
- Be the team’s quarterback of creativity – leverage tools, data, social platforms, and internal resources to help the team ideate around trends and move at the speed of culture to develop a social-first A&I content strategy that will break through the clutter and drive engagement and brand love. Creative skills and out-of-the-box thinking are a must.
- Optimize influencer marketing mix and spearhead identifying new brand advocates across beauty/lifestyle influencers, dermatologists, and makeup artists to build education and expertise.
- Creatively conceptualize and optimize earned strategy around global eventing, awareness-driving social partners, and PR mailers to propel the global A&I results (Reach, Video Views, Impressions, and Engagement).
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment is a must - Global Marketing, Creative, Global Business Development, Media, Local Markets, CDMO.
- Align and prioritize Global brand vision with local market priorities/needs to build consistency and awareness and ultimately increase local market adaptation of Global assets.
- In partnership with the Global Media team, strategize and support paid media strategy to maximize reach and engagements.
- Ability to manage and grow team talent, plus manage multiple agencies and vendors.
- Financially savvy – must be able to manage budgets and demonstrate strong financial acumen.
- Data-obsessed – Strong analytic skills are a must.
Key Challenges, Issues, and Complexity
There are a few areas of opportunity for the job holder. The first is as a Luxe brand born on QVC and developed by dermatologists and plastic surgeons. We have categories that are very strong with a loyal customer base, such as CC+ Cream, Bye Bye Under Eye, Confidence in a Cream, and Superhero Mascara. The challenge is to grow these products in a very competitive environment and maintain loyal Gen X consumers while recruiting new consumers into the brand. There’s a massive opportunity to take inspiration from what’s going viral and generating buzz on social media to support the local markets with awareness-driving strategies. Complexity tends to be correlated with the requirement to exercise judgment and final decision-making.
The next opportunity is challenging the DMI cross-functional teams to brainstorm social-first 360 activations and meet the local market needs to grow awareness through cultural relevancy. This job holder will be responsible for accelerating Gen X brand love with creativity and easy-to-understand education while moving at the speed of culture to activate around relevant trends.

- The role has a direct impact on the image and reputation of the global brand image; we are looking for someone to advise on the Brand Engagement plans to help propel an aspirational image and recruit new consumers into the brand while maintaining our loyalists.
- The job holder is accountable for creating content that delivers ROI and ROAS and driving community growth and engagement rate.
What We Are Looking For
- 8–10 years’ experience in social media/digital marketing, influencer marketing, and integrated communications (PR, Cause, and event strategy)
- Well-versed in the influencer space, including familiarity with key talent and content trends
- Must have a deep understanding of social platforms (specific emphasis on TikTok, Meta, and YouTube) and beauty social trends
- Ability to analyze data in terms of conversion and content performance; must be able to digest, organize, and present data that clearly identifies A&I opportunities and strategies
- Managerial experience preferred (either direct reports and/or management of agencies)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Beauty experience is a plus, specifically makeup and/or skincare
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Attention to detail and a high level of organization
- Experience managing budgets with moderate autonomy
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively structure and articulate presentations
- Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
