JOB TITLE: Category Manager – Hair Care Matrix

A Day in the Life

As the Category Manager for Matrix Hair Care, you will be the strategic mind shaping the future of one of India's leading professional brands. Reporting to the Brand GM, Matrix, you will lead your team to build on the brand's authentic, colorful, and uncomplicated identity, loved by Gen Z consumers and hairstylists alike. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, turning brand love into market leadership.

 

Your key deliverables will be:

· You will execute the brand strategy and drive positioning of the brand keeping in mind global brand mandates. 

· You will orchestrate the launches and push growth of pillar products towards continued growth and animate core categories / products of the brand

· You will partner closely with Matrix DMI (innovation) team on new launches and enhancing the brand equity as per guidelines

· You will conceptualise and develop new concepts for brand communication and category communication to drive awareness of the brand.

· You will analyse data, market insights, competition and trends to create animations as per brand calendar 

· You will lead the roll-out of strong Media, PR and Influencer Campaigns as well as manage below the line activations with trade partners  

· You will drive the brand’s presence on all platforms (online and offline) and be responsible for sales forecasting, stock planning 

· You will design tactical offers for consumers and salons

· You will conceptualise, develop and execute disruptive Point of Sale elements in collaboration with the merchandising team

· You will manage the brand’s advertising and promotional budget.

· You will be responsible for working with the demand planning team on sales forecast accuracy

· You will collaborate with other departments (sales, logistics, education, etc.) and partner agencies/ production houses to build campaigns

· You will make recommendations to management on your own expertise as well as based on research that you will drive of the consumer, market and competitors 

· You will design commercial schemes in collaboration with the sales teams for the trade channel

·  You will collaborate with the education team to build and promote new techniques, launch new products and excite Hairdressers

 

We Are Looking For

We are seeking a strategic and creative leader with a proven ability to drive brand growth in a dynamic market. You are adept at translating consumer insights into powerful marketing actions and have a strong track record of managing teams and complex projects.

  • Highly experienced in operational marketing, product development, and digital marketing, ideally within the beauty or lifestyle sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
