Project Manager Sustainable Sourcing
Context:
Most
of L’Oréal’s raw materials are derived from renewable sources and are largely
of plant origin. The Group, which uses approximately 1,600 raw materials from
nearly 350 species of plants, sees biodiversity as an important and growing
source of innovation and is committed to sourcing its ingredients in a
sustainable and responsible manner.
The
goal of the Raw Materials Sustainable Sourcing department is to ensure 100% of
plant-based ingredients used in formulas are traceable, sustainably sourced and
that none of them are linked to deforestation. To limit our impact on natural
habitats, we are committing to holding flat, by 2030, the total land occupancy
vital to the sourcing of our ingredients, compared to 2019. Thus, whilst ensuring the high
quality of the materials, our mission is to ensure the respect of human rights
along our supply chains, contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and the
fight against climate change. Moreover, the in-depth work undertaken with our
suppliers on social and environmental factors is an undeniable asset in our
