As a Data Platform Engineer, your primary objective will be to leverage your expertise in Cloud to design, build, and maintain a resilient and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports our organization's growth and technological innovation. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud services, optimizing their performance, security, and reliability. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional user experiences while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the Cloud.
  • Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable cloud services.
  • Configure security best practices thru identity and access management, encryption, network security, and other Cloud security features.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of Cloud resources.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on optimizing applications for cloud deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Cloud services, recommending and implementing relevant tech to improve our cloud infra.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to promote a culture of continuous learning within the team.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cloud-related issues, both during regular operations and incidents.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS, Ali Cloud)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, MLOps or FinOps is a big plus
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud services with focus on provision for cloud data warehouse, AI-ML & web applications, containerization, FaaS.
  • Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform 
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security.
  • Prior experience with platform resource monitoring and optimizations
  • Familiarity with IAM, access control and privacy practices.
  • Relevant certifications like Cloud Engineer, Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Pro-active, self-motivated & problem-solving attitude
  • Prior experience in working with team of technical developers will be a plus
