JOB TITLE : Medical Director – L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty



In the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division, we change people's lives by creating the ‘beauty of health’ with our iconic brands (La Roche- Posay, Skin Ceuticals). 

With the most prescribed brands by dermatologists and other specialists, our division is maintaining a double-digit growth worldwide for the last 5 years which is fueled by +7.5k employees around the world.



Responsible for the Division’s medical strategy through medical relations, medical detailing, medical communications, and medical sales to increase prescription, recommendation and dispensing by health professionals and establish its scientific legitimacy and reputation.


  • Develop medical influence of our brands and visibility of the division

- Devise partnership strategy with medical societies & KOLs

- Ensure setting up of medical education events and participation in external events(congresses)

- Mobilize and encourage opinion leaders in their consulting, training or representative activities (congresses, digital channels)

  • Define and pilot medical detailing strategy in concert with brand management

- Define each brand’s positioning through targets/medical indications following global/zone directives

- Define common and specific territories for brands and synergies to share medical detailing resources

- Organize medical detailing networks and motivate medical team

- Work out action plans, budgets, distribution of promotional material, samples

- Drive efficiency and performance based on criteria of prescriptions and sales

  • Define medical visit strategy in line with Division / brand strategy

- Analyze prescription potential of targets and the competitive, medical and regulatory environment

- Define targets, their coverage and visit frequency

- Devise action plans, budgets, giveaways (promotional items and samples) and validate medical visit tools, for each target, in conjunction with marketing / and staff in charge of medical communications

- Pilot performance based on criteria of prescriptions/recommendations and sales and analyze Return On Investment (ROI)

  • Organize, drive and coach medical representative community

- Define both network and sectorial field structure, ensuring optimal field team structure and size

- Define individual qualitative and quantitative objectives

- Implement and pilot the reward system for field teams 

  • Professionalization of medical detailing

- Implement use of monitoring tools of medical detailing network activity (CRM/CLM platform)

- Make sure that initial and ongoing training of teams (environment, pathologies, products communication techniques) and their assessment are carried out

  • Ensure the variety, scientific quality and competitiveness of medical communications are maintained

- Supervise the contents, tools and services for health professionals

- Validate medical detailing tools in collaboration with brand management

- Implement multi-channel, both on & offline communications strategy in line with marketing strategy and product plan

- Set up international surveys on local basis and implements local observational studies

  • Ensure synergies between functions and brands

- Develop the medical culture



Your future team is made up of 8 people (including this position) who are working passionately on topics like medical, dermatological solutions in addition, we work super close with a wide network of medical experts in our Global and Zone teams.



  • Education : University graduate, (Prefer education background in pharmacy, medicine, biology, physics, physio-chemistry)
  • Years of experience : +10 years in medical/pharma/dermo-cosmetics sector
  • Experience: Strong scientific expertise and knowledge, analytical skills of medical competitive environment, able to lead effective communications with healthcare professionals, Experience in sales in medical/pharma sector
  • Language: Fluent in both Korean and English
