Job location:    Tokyo, Japan

Required work experience:    5-6 years of demonstrable experience managing build and delivery of large, complex data & analytics projects in a fast-moving environment

・    Able to quickly understands the data & analytics requirements and KPIs in digital and ecommerce: Rapidly comprehends data and analytics needs in digital and ecommerce landscapes, translating them into actionable insights for business success.

・    Technical-and-Functional knowledge: Proficiency in PaaS (Google Cloud Platform is the platform of choice), coupled with hands-on experience in in ETL processes, Power BI dashboard development and analytics languages like Python or R, as well as SQL.

・    Language: Business level proficiency in English and fluency in Japanese.

Job objectives:   

・    Possesses a unique blend of skills in data analysis and engineering to seamlessly integrate analytical insights into data pipeline and system. 

・    Ensures alignment with business objectives and support the manager in delivering analytics solutions within established data governance policies, compliance standards, deadlines, and quality requirements. 

・    Serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical members to transform diverse business requirements into data requirements.

・    Develops data capability in Japan to support the local Data Strategy in collaboration with other CDO members and IT.

Job description:

・    Collaborates with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements to data requirements and deliver integrated data solutions that drive decision-making and business growth.

・    Helps break down silos and unify data, ensuring seamless integration and consistency in analytics processes and data governance.

・    Conducts data analysis, including exploratory analysis to derive actionable insights from various datasets.

・    Occasionally develops and maintains data pipelines and ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

・    Designs and develops KPI dashboard.

・    Supports the implementation data strategy and supervises the change management activities including training, user support and communication.

・    Liaises with local IT partner and the Transformation Office to effectively manage the allocated internal/ external resources.
