What You Will Learn:

FinOps responsibility will be to ensure we get the most value out of every dollar we spend in the cloud. As a FinOps Analyst, you will be an integral member of the Platform Services team continuously innovating and improving our path on cloud financial controls and optimization, while helping to drive a culture of accountability regarding efficient cloud usage/spend.

This person will be responsible for working with a range of internal stakeholders to design, develop and manage reports.  The ideal candidate will need strong analytics, cross-team collaboration and multi-tasking skills that can execute and deliver quickly.

  • Ability to work with and support cross-functional teams consuming cloud services to understand issues in spend and opportunities for savings and best practices around consumption of cloud services
  • Drive cost optimization efforts by collaborating with Finance and Engineering teams across the enterprise, recommending savings plans across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Partner with our global/local Team to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed and maintained at scale to manage costs
  • Responsible for partnering with the infrastructure, digital and application teams to understand the cloud demand forecast
  • Develop and maintain cost and forecasting models to provide required insights to current and future cloud spend
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, scorecards, and standard metrics
  • Leverage the FinOps tools, interpret the findings, and make technical recommendations to the application teams to help reduce ongoing cost.
  • Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management best practices

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

       Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Finance

  • At least worked 5-6 years with public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure and understands cloud costs and billing
  • Collaborates well with Engineering, Applications, and Finance teams
  • Established concepts cost and cloud usage ownership
  • Experienced with cloud budget management process, cloud cost analytics and cloud cost optimization
  • Naturally accountable and responsible: Self-starter, self-motivated, well-adapted, and self-sufficient
  • Experience in working within FinOps subject area within a large enterprise
  • Analytical Thinker with solid communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

       Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Finance

       5-6 years hands-on experience managing AWS, Azure and GCP costs

  • Able to operate successfully in a fast-paced and demanding organization, and to create a vision that can scale quickly
  • Established and driven cloud cost management processes in a larger organization
  • Prior experience building custom reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Cost management knowledge including but not limited to chargeback modelling, cost savings and avoidance tracking, trending and variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Project management, communication, time management, detail oriented, etc.
