Position: Sourcing Category Manager- Packaging Components

As part of the Sourcing Category Team for Packaging components, you will have the responsibility of one or several Packaging categories for the Europe Zone. In this role, you have 2 types of activities, on one side the operational aspects of purchasing while on the other end the structuration and implementation of our strategic purchasing ambitions.

Facing both securisation and sustainability challenges, on top of more standard economic performance, you have to animate an extensive pool of suppliers from major corporations to local companies while reinforcing SRM to leverage partnership. You are responsible for the definition, coordination and implementation of the zone/worldwide strategies in cooperation with a broad diversity of internal stakeholders.


The Category Manager is responsible for her/his portfolio:

  • Global market analysis on the category
  • Management over the global suppliers
  • Analysis of the needs within the category on the global level and on behalf of all brands of the Group
  • Build the road map with key projects
  • Follow the implementation of the key projects
  • Ensure strategy at global level with close collaboration with regional category managers
  • Communicate the strategy to the stakeholders (countries / zones, brands, suppliers)
  • Animate the supplier relationship for the global supplier: Target business development, improvement of the performance of the supplier (competitiveness, Supply, Quality, Sustainability, innovation)
  • Innovation: Catch the innovation from the supplier market
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and budget yearly exercise


  • Solid experience in Packaging components Procurement
  • Experience in procurement category management (having experience of managing a category and its suppliers from the STRATEGIC point of view)
  • Strong communication skills
