Brand Head - Maybelline & Essie - Lebanon

A Day in the Life

As a Brand Head for Maybelline and Essie in Lebanon, reporting to the General Manager of the Consumer Products Division, you will lead a team of one Senior Brand Manager, overseeing all aspects of brand strategy and execution for these iconic brands within the Lebanese market. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of beauty in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market, leveraging your expertise to drive significant growth and brand equity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including online brand managers, commercial, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies aligned with L'Oréal's overall objectives, adapting global strategies to the unique nuances of the Lebanese market. This includes defining target audiences, crafting compelling brand narratives, and setting ambitious yet achievable growth targets.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI across all marketing activities. You will be responsible for forecasting, tracking, and reporting on key financial metrics.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide your direct report, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Provide opportunities for growth and development, empowering your team member to reach their full potential.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with cross-functional teams (online brand managers, commercial, supply chain, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans and achieve shared objectives. This includes proactively identifying and resolving potential challenges.

Key Job Accountabilities

Orchestrate the launches and push growth of pillar products using their own product, market and consumer expertise, to contribute to continued growth for the brand and the consumer relationship.

- Collect and analyze consumer and market insights and competition strategies to make recommendations to management

- Implement new launches, maintain growth in pillar products and animate core catalogue

- Propose and monitor marketing mix strategies (IMC/360/Digital/Retail) to build integrated, engaging consumer brand experiences

- Adapt communication material (imagery, digital, point of sale)

- Mobilize and work with other departments (sales, logistic, education, etc. ) and partner agencies to build broader business strategy; meet the deadlines

- Make recommendations to management on the category based on own expertise of the consumer, market and competitors (launch analysis, strategic memo, etc.)

- Manage PPP budget and ensure sales forecast accuracy

- Effectively prepare clear messages for senior management

- Make recommendations on media, implement media and promotion plans and ensure implementation of trade marketing plan

You possess exceptional leadership skills and a collaborative approach, able to inspire and motivate your team to achieve ambitious goals.
