Within the L'Oréal Group's International Recruitment Department, the mission consists mainly in working closely with the Talent Acquisition team, which is integrated into the Human Resources Department.

The apprentice - Recruitment Officer is responsible for identifying, contacting and screening candidates from around the world.

Definition of the Role:

  • Analyze and synthesize the brief given to understand the needs and strategic issues of the positions.
  • Propose a research strategy allowing the proper execution of the mission at the international level (business analysis)

Implementation of the Search Strategy

  • Search all available recruitment networks, including Linkedin, for the most relevant profiles.
  • Establish a mapping of the target companies at the international level to identify the best pools of candidates for the profiles sought.
  • Identify and understand the organizational charts of the target companies

Approach and Selection of Potential Candidates

  • Contacting all potential candidates to validate the suitability of their profile for proposed positions: interest in the position, personality analysis, technical skills, affinity with the Group, salary expectations, etc.
  • Hunt for identified profiles within the target companies: validation of motivation, evaluation of the suitability of the position/profile, proposal for an interview with the Recruitment Director.

Monitoring and administrative follow-up of Missions

  • Ensuring regular reporting to the Recruitment Department on the progress of searches: production of summary tables (progress report), qualitative analysis of the candidates contacted, difficulties encountered, etc.
  • To generate a pipeline of qualitied candidates
  • Monitor all recruitment networks and competitive intelligence on trends, brands and organizations

The Recruitment Officer may take part in the evaluation interviews, in pairs with the Director of the service. He or she then has an observer role, with the consultant conducting the interview.

Direct Approach / Indirect Approach:

  • Depending on the difficulty of the missions dealt with, he/she steers the missions essentially by direct approach, via social networks, i.e. by "hunting" profiles that have not shown any a prior interest in the post but whose profile or background is relevant.
  • The positions to be filled are mainly in middle management (recruitment of middle or senior managers) and top management (recruitment of senior managers).
  • The approach is very qualitative (few candidates) and frequently international (fluent English is essential).

Creative / Agile / International

  • High interest in the world of brands with a strong international image and seek to acquire a good knowledge of the organisation of companies in order to identify the different types of organisation chart he encounters.
  • Must develop an economic culture and a knowledge of the cosmetics and related sectors of activity, to enable the ability to identify and make the best use of cultural specificities, the main players, the economic situation, etc.
  • Has good listening skills, both upstream, in order to fully understand the challenges of the position to be filled, and downstream when selecting candidates. Their communication skills and oral expression enable them to deliver clear information. Organized, persevering and pugnacious, he/she simultaneously manages different files, which can be spread over several months in the context of particularly complex positions.
  • Open, creative, flexible, he/she imagines new ways of identifying and winning candidates, keeping abreast of market developments and economic news in general. He/she knows how to be persuasive, in order to attract the candidates who are "chased" for the proposed position, but also to convince the Director of International Recruitment of the interest of an application.
  • Ability to withstand pressure, especially since they are usually in very strategic positions with short-term performance objectives.

What are the requirements to apply? 

  • You are in the process of completing your Master’s degree (Master 1 & Master 2)
  • Your school/university is providing an apprentice contract 
  • You speak either French or English fluently (speaking both languages is an asset)
