We are looking for a purchasing operation buyer to manage tactical sourcing, capture and understand business demand as well as custodian of purchasing related compliance elements, in line with the Group’s purchasing strategies and policies

In this role, you will:

  • Analyses business needs and challenges demand: Anticipate major evolution of needs from various business divisions. Propose the most valuable option involving internal and external network/resources. Work closely with Sourcing buyers to channel strategic demand into sourcing initiative

  • Optimizes costs in tactical sourcing: Capture breakthrough ideas coming from the suppliers. Maximize value creation opportunities impacting P&L and Top Line. Activate all levers of the value chain through the Cost Models.

  • Manage L’Oreal purchasing tools in terms of data and content maintenance to enable Shopping Cart creation with the right content and suppliers. Manage new vendor onboarding process as well as vendor data modification process.

  • Timely and accurate reporting submission which includes spend and all other compliance reporting.

  • As the first point of contact with business stakeholders for all things related to purchasing, after which could be channelled to Sourcing buyers or for other delegation.

  • Operates according to internal control principles and legal rules. Ensures business stakeholders compliance according to Local and Group purchasing strategies and policies.

  • Evaluates and manages risks: Define and implement risk management policy. Implement advanced/breakthrough methodologies or tools to secure risk. Manage regulatory risks.

  • Manages the performance and efficiency of Purchasing Operation team. Ensure data integrity and quality. Formulate functional improvements for processes and tools.

  • Supports and manages stakeholders’ relationships: Communicate/manage projects /share suppliers’ information with stakeholders, influence stakeholders. Drive and grow Purchasing Share of Voice among stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Prior experience in Purchasing or Buying role (experience in FMCG is a plus)

  • Excellent generalist who is able to multitask

  • Experience including sourcing, evaluating and managing risks, optimising costs, negotiation

  • Good Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint presentation skills

  • Embraces complexity within matrix organization
