This position for Product Brand Manager relies into the 2nd biggest brand within L’Oréal BNL: La Roche-Posay. La Roche-Posay is worldwide #1 dermocosmetic brand and is #1 prescribed by dermatologist. In BNL, La Roche-Posay is #1 sold brand in the Belgian pharmacy and #1 in Netherlands in pharmacy. As PBM, you will be part of the La Roche-Posay team, your role in this team will be to be the expert in driving brand awareness, brand love, medical image & anchorage. 

 

Who am I?
 
As Product Brand Manager you are part of a multidisciplinary marketing team and within it, you are the ‘Brand Champion’, the expert when it comes to the consumer. You oversee the 360 degrees strategy of your product ranges and together with your colleague PBM, the strategy of the brand in collaboration with the Brand Business Leader. Starting from defining & sizing the launches, planning media campaigns, events, medical communication. You are responsible for the budget making sure you grow the brands market share and enhance the brands equity with a special focus on the Belgian market.

 

My responsibilities:
 
The Brand Product Manager has a very diverse set of tasks at Benelux level, consisting of:

Consumer insights

  • Own and drive category consumer insights (social listening, studies, etc.)
  • Observe and analyze competitor behavior and market trends
  • Track brand performance in sell-in & out to make the right strategic choices

 

Brand equity

  • Own brand identity/DNA
  • Guardian of the product/axe/brand expression on-&off-line: ward for consistency in all touchpoints: artworks, claim validation, model rights, ect.

 

Portfolio management

  • Product vision, strategy, and growth plan
  • Analyse proposed launches by DMI team + define launch sizing, pricing, calender,…
  • Revenue Growth Management topics to define right pricing strategy and launches.

 

360 Lead

  • Ensure strong marketing plan with a 360 approach to brand expression and execution across channels on- & offline, expressing our medical equity
  • Roll out the right tailor-made media strategy; to reach consumers on the right touchpoint
  • Drive medical strategy on your product ranges in close collaboration with the medical team
  • Drive and implement the 360 implementations projects like ‘act for good’; projects to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and several projects around eco-responsible products/projects with the right stakeholders
  • Budget responsible – media, samples, medical activations, events,….

 

This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. To successfully perform this role, you will work together with:

  • The Retail Brand Managers, who translate brand plans into retailer plans
  • The Online Brand Manager, who is ensuring the brand equity & strategy on ecomm
  • The Social Brand Manager, responsible of the advocacy strategy
  • The Marketing Coordinator. This colleague provides marketing support in, for example, coordination of codes, price lists, events,…
  • The medical communication manager, responsible for the creation of materials used to visit health care professionals
  • A Media Agency (external)
  • Our own Media Manager and other digital specialists from our multidisciplinary CMO team.
  • The Brand Business Leader you report to

 

Your profile

To maintain our top position in the market, we are looking for an ambitious person, with strong convictions and believes and with expert knowledge on the Belgian market. You are courageous, take risks and challenge the status quo. You are creative and conceptual. You have a passion for dermo cosmetics & a scientific background to be able to explain ingredients & skin conditions and pathologies. You are analytical strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. You have affinity with media & digital. As a person you are determined to make a great impact by taking initiatives and sharing your ideas. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them if necessary. Furthermore, you are open minded and supportive towards new initiatives.

 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Obtained a Master Degree, with a scientific background (=not a must) 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Belgian market
  • At least 4-5 years experience in brand product management
  • Experience with fast and effective internal and external stakeholder management.
  • A broad understanding of FMCG and/or pharmacy/medical business, such as Digital, Category Management, E-Commerce and Sales.
  • Fluent in English and native in either French or Dutch (absolute must-have)
