Reporting to the General Manager of American Brands you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Matrix brand throughout Australia.


  • Increasing the Matrix brand market share and sales growth via driving contemporary marketing strategies within the hair salon channel.
  • Defining, optimising and monitoring the marketing budget objectives and ensure the delivery of commercial outcomes
  • Leading end-to-end strategic marketing planning activities for the Australian market including new product selection, campaign management and execution.
  • Undertaking market analysis, sales forecasting, budget control, product launch plans, media planning, promotion design and implementation, preparation of reports and presentations. 
  • Building the internal and external image and reputation with customers, consumers and agencies, enhancing our brands' attraction, image, awareness and experience.


  • You will have previous experience within a similar role within an FMCG/retail environment
  • You will have proven ability to create and implement marketing strategies to deliver commercial outcomes for the brand and overall business
  • You will have commercial expertise including accountability for delivering increased market share and brand awareness as well as a strong analytical focus
  • You will be a proven strong people leader with an adaptable style which encourages collaboration and engagement from your teams

Our Professional Products Division provides hair care and hair colour products and services to salons and retailers across Australia. Our brands include Kerastase, L’Oreal Professionnel, Redken, Shu Uemura, Pureology and Matrix. We partner with hairdressing salons and retailers to offer products made from the best technologies and offer superior training which is at the forefront of trends.
