Job Title: Open Development Assistant Manager – Korea Innovation Center(KIC R&I)

[WHO WE ARE]

The Korea Advanced Research team is responsible for coordinating various projects between Korean partners with the global L’Oréal teams to support different research topics within the scope of skin, hair, and scalp. Within this broad domain, the team is involved in multi-disciplinary research across various fields including green chemistry to medical-inspired biotechnology. 

[KEY RESPONSIBILITIES]

• To well understand Company & team strategy and respect Company compliance.
• To lead to find new innovation and development 
• To lead to scouting new/better/different technology with agile & flexible way.
• To lead to develop and refine innovative technology independently, including risk management.
• To lead to minimize quality gap between ODM company and Company and to achieve same quality level as Company standards.
• To Monitor marketing and consumer trends in cosmetics closely and be available to decode competitors.
• To lead & communicate projects with multiple stakeholder internally & externally with good attitude.
  • Work closely with ODM company to coordinate the development 
  • Make sure externally developed formulas are compliant to internal standards
  • Ideate product concepts and formula technologies for pre-development proposals

[QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS]

• Bachelor's degree (Major : Science/Engineering based) or Master’s degree preferred
• Experience in cosmetic industry (R&D/R&I or technical sales preferred)
• Preferred to understand Open Development & Loreal ecosystem
• Technical zone:
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry and cosmetic formulation. 
  • Good strategy to find root cause with multiple angle. Passionate to scout technology to answer Marketing brief (request)
• Communication: Flexible communication with ownership of own project. Communicate stakeholder efficient and clear way. 
• Project ownership (Leadership) Well manage project timeline and achieve targeted time properly. 
• To Understand project back ground deeply and try to link with Consumer Needs.
