L’Oréal Group has aggressively embraced the digital era and has advanced many leading consumer-facing digital solutions across its business units.  Data analytics products specifically is an area of strategic focus, and it will power the next phase of our digital transformation. Our largest transformations are currently to leverage analytics and insights to drive D2C channel growth, Media measurement, audience analytics and measurement with GA4. We provide strategic guidance, subject matter expertise and executional leadership for efficient, effective and safe applications of digital tactics. We drive the adoption of technology solutions that will allow divisions and brands to leverage data analytics products in the daily decision making.  Our vision is to amplify actionability from new and compelling insights from data to drive incremental results, uncovering solutions compliant to privacy by design.

The O+O product leader will:

  • Utilize best in class technology and data solutions to advance business at the division and brand levels on consumer, media and marketing analytics
  • Be a subject matter expert on measurement strategy and implementation of digital touch points for web and app analytics
  • Provide Solution, Tech and Architecture expertise to the data products
  • Own the build capabilities to drive reporting and analytics roadmap
  • Provide strategic guidance, subject matter expertise and executional leadership from a technology solution standpoint for efficient, effective and safe applications of digital tactics

Critical Ways Of Working and responsibilities will involve:

  • Acting as key point of contact interfacing with all LUSA divisions and CDMO office focused on consumer and media analytics
  • Partnering with CDMO product owners in defining the product roadmap
  • Managing relationship with agencies from a technology delivery standpoint
  • Establish process to readily source new, additional data to our analytics products to drive actionable insights
  • Support the Design and Build of Analytical solutions using cloud services in tools
  • Work cross-functionally with the marketing team on campaigns and initiatives
  • Clarifying Omni media, GMP audience activation, ID Graph solutioning and opportunities for ways of working
  • Be a subject matter expert on measurement strategy and implementation of digital touch points for web and app analytics, GA 4
  • Work with Product owners on consumer & media to solution actionable insights
  • Ensuring stability of tech platforms and data quality to drive data democratization
  • Work with the DPO(Data Privacy Officer) to ensure all activation strategies comply with the privacy regulations

Team development and retention:

  • Enhance and boost team morale throughout the product evolution
  • Coach teams on how to effectively work and navigate across brands and divisions
  • Mentor team members that are new to L’Oreal on company culture
  • Establish clear Roadmaps for each functional area, identifying overlaps and dependencies to create a high performance, efficient team with solid ways of working

You Will Have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in leading developing digital analytics solution and visualization.
  • Expertise in agile software development lifecycle and proven experience in delivering against website performance metrics
  • Proven track record of converting data-driven analytics to gain consumer insights, drive targeted digital campaigns, optimize user experience, and drive conversion
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams, ideally within FMCG
  • Collaborating to meet the agenda by working globally across functions, geographies, and with remote internal and external partners
  • Experience in managing a team, both as direct reports and external agencies
  • Experience in influencing executive leadership, developing presentations, and building business cases
  • Influencing business strategy (e.g. eCommerce VPs, Omni-Media VPs) through critical thinking and technical thought leadership that has translated into significant business benefit
  • Collaborating to meet the agenda by working globally across functions, geographies, and with remote internal and external partners
  • Coaching and mentoring others in a global process community and department
  • Ensure that foundational skills/capabilities keep pace with technology advancements
  • Driving a culture of technical curiosity, learning and technical rigor

You Will Need

  • CPG marketing expertise; Beauty experience – a plus
  • Knowledge of most current digital technologies, trends, and tools
  • Ability to think strategically, drive results, build a high-performance organization, continuously drive innovation and inspire the organization to achieve and exceed its objectives
  • Strong leaderships skills with the ability to manage, engage, mentor and retain team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate complicated concepts and recommended courses of action to engage diverse audiences and influence senior executives
  • Ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed environment
  • Highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and consensus on initiatives

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical management of data design and data governance
  • Outstanding functional and technical communication skills and demonstrated business and IT collaboration
  • Proficiency in distributed and parallel computing methodologies and tools, big data, and cloud principles to implement business solutions
  • Understanding of optimal data architecture designs for multiple types of data storage technologies NoSQL, MPP / Elastic Cloud processing platforms, and a multitude of traditional RDBMS systems
  • Proficiency with industry standard BI and Data Visualization Tools
  • Hands on experience with ML/AI tools, platforms, and data pipelines is a plus
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Management, Analytics or Data Architecture roles
  • Preferred experience with industry standard data integration tools
  • Proficient in relational data modeling concepts and implementations
  • Mastery of SQL, Python, Scala or other relevant languages for processing raw data, data validation and QA
  • Experience working with APIs to collect/ingest and send data
  • Strong project management skills and able to work in an Agile environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Salary Range: $145,300 - $207,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
