Junior Sales Associate Role

Position Purpose: The JSA role is a 12 month assignment designed to develop an individual’s skillset in both outside sales and relationship building as well as sales administration and sales support, all while helping to build a strong pipeline of sales/sales admin talent for the organization.

Position Summary: The Junior Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting both the internal sales operations team and the field sales team, as well as learn and develop sales and relationship-building skills by spending time in the field with a Business Development Manager.

Sales Operations Support

  • Assist in all new hire setup, to include logins & passwords, equipment ordering, IT tickets generation and welcome packet communication
  • Maintain roster & all mailing lists
  • Update & maintain salon locator
  • Manage order forms, UPC lists as well as B2B product catalog
  • Administrative support for Dir of Strategic Partnerships
  • Management of Salesforce.com content library
  • Distribute salon monthly newsletters
  • Assist with sales meeting coordination and setup
  • Maintain MSDS safety sheets
  • Place SHOP orders for the field team as needed
  • Support our salon rebate program by completing internal audits of salon submissions
  • Serve as liaison to ensure internal tools are being used as designed when out in the field

Field Sales Development

  • Build relationships with salon owners/managers and stylists
  • Help to identify and respond to opportunities that build market share long term and maximize sales in the short term
  • Acquire new salon partnerships that meet the luxury standard of the brand
  • Assist in product training and class facilitation
  • Demonstrate strategic planning to achieve sales goals
  • Develop accurate forecasting
  • Understand and exemplify the brand message in order to secure positioning as the luxury leaders in the professional market
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales team support (tools, processes, etc.) and relay back to Sales Operations

Job Requirements, Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months
  • Effective communication and organizational Skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of sales & marketing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A highly motivated individual with a desire to learn and develop within the organization
