• Embodies & drives the consumer point of view to enhance and assess perceived product performance
• Leads the Consumer function within the Product Performance Evaluation organization
• Drives the research, development & application of new, innovative tools & methods based upon industry & technology advances as well as project needs.
• Collaborates with PPE counterparts in all L’Oréal R&I Hubs around the world to develop and implement best practices
• Summarize project learnings and drives consensus building around conclusions
• Leads Consumer team of 10+ people; accountable for employee development and performance, and organizational efficiency
• Collaborates with labs, innovation direction/consumer market insights, international colleagues and evaluation team to develop & implement dynamic, relevant evaluation
• Applies expertise to all projects to ensure relevancy of test design, target and endpoints based upon objective.
• Challenges the analyses of test results to ensure robust, thorough & insightful conclusions.
• Synthesizes learnings from evaluation tests to derive key insights and next steps for a project
• Manages/drives outsourcing strategy to ensure quality, timeliness and expertise
• Contributes to predictive modeling programs linking consumer, sensory & instrumental data
• Surveys product trends & market via market intelligence reports, internet, etc
• Develops vision with roadmap, identifying short, midterm and long term goals for function
• Drives projects from inception to completion with quality, timeliness, and professionalism

• Consumer Science expert
• Masters or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, Food Science or other related sciences, with emphasis in Consumer Science
• 10+ years experience working in a fortune 100 company preferred
• Passion for innovation
• Strong working knowledge of statistics
• Good knowledge of personal care products based on several years of experience at a managing level
• On-line community experience
  Strong outside network of agencies, professionals & academics in Consumer Science & Analytics fields
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/oral), and organizational skills
• Strong leadership, diplomacy & influencing skills
• Capable of working in a matrix organization, including strong teamwork skills
• Ability to travel domestically & internationally
