Director - eNational Accounts, L'Oreal Paris (Amazon)

Team: Amazon – L’Oreal Paris

Reports to: VP eCommerce – L’Oreal Paris

 

Mission and defining characteristics:

Full planning, forecasting, execution and optimization of eCom sales fundamentals and levers in order to proactively drive category plans (consumption, shipments, net sales, and market share growth) on Amazon

Category ownership for specific customer

Category expert for the full Brand portfolio and competitive products at a specific customer

Performance tracking and coordination of digital marketing campaigns for seamless execution, business acceleration and optimal ROI

Management and coaching of eCustomer Marketer and eBA

Main tasks:

Results Driver and Business Owner

  • Lead with an achievement-oriented mind-set
  • Build and achieve the customer plan and results for category based on category strategy
  • Track sales and forecasting and proactively derive actions to address gaps and opportunities
  • Manage category trade budget

Category Owner

  • Drive category strategy agenda and what is needed to win in alignment with Brand priorities for customer
  • Engage multifunctional support for strategy implementation and 360 growth levers for category

Team Manager

  • Help develop more junior team members (e.g., eCM, Catalog Analyst, BA, SLDPs, etc…)
  • Drive the business as customer leader, by collaborating with multifunctional team and animating peer functions: marketing, supply chain, finance, category development

Customer Developer

  • Drive a customer-centric omnichannel approach and build a strong relationship with all relevant stakeholders at customer for category
  • Analyze and define the growth levers relevant to customer with specific focus on the shopper so selling is through shopper insights

Main interfaces:

  • CTL
  • BBD
  • Other NAMs, CDMs, and BAs at customer
  • Support field teams: Operations and Supply, Commercial Finance

 

Key measures of success:

  • Deliver sales target and brand sales fundamentals for category incl. sell in/sell out, net sales, OTIF, retail execution and ROI
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Achievement of top strategic priorities for relevant category
  • Market category penetration
  • Retailer scorecard

Qualifications/experience:

  • Exceptional track record of account relationship management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of eRetail and online sales
  • Interact effectively, including negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to business management
  • Ability to influence other functions and drive coordination across groups (even without reporting lines)
  • Ability to make decisions aligned with commercial fundamentals and maximize P&L
  • Effective in motivating and developing talent
  • 3-5 years of CPG eCommerce experience with demonstrated sales results and experience working in multi-functional teams
