It is responsible for building and executing a long-term strategic communications and stakeholder engagement plan that protects and enhances the reputation of L’Oréal. This function has a key role in ensuring L’Oréal is one of the most highly regarded corporations in the world, and the most trusted and admired beauty leader in the industry.
We’re looking for a communications entrepreneur, who wants to lead a transformation agenda to advance L’Oréal’s Corporate Sense of Purpose as well as lead the Corporate Affairs & Engagement function to become the best in the world.
YOUR MISSION :
Strategy
• Proactively build a 360° communications and engagement strategy, in line with Global direction and country priorities, to protect and enhance L’Oréal’s corporate image and reputation with its key stakeholders such as employees, media, NGOs and local authorities.
• Work with the Country GM and management committee to identify local reputation building opportunities, and drive powerful editorial and engagement strategies.
• Define the Country GM strategy as the key ambassador for L’Oréal in the country, with focus on media and public affairs to build trust and license to operate.
• Anticipate crisis or issues across the organization, and work with senior leadership to manage sensitive situations when they emerge and protect reputation.
• Provide strategic communications counsel and be point of contact for reputation management matters.
• Drive Corporate Responsibility agenda, identifying areas and trusted partners to make positive impact to communities and environment.
Execution
• Lead process to develop powerful local content for corporate brand, deliver quality editorial assets and activate channels required for stakeholder engagement, both online and offline.
• Define and uncover local stories and proof points for editorial pipeline, across pillars of innovation, people and planet.
• Deliver training and coaching such as media interview training and crisis training
• Establish and update country risk map, set up a monitoring system and develop responses in coordination with SAPMENA Issue & Crisis Management Leader.
• Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders such as HR and Brand teams to manage major internal and external events as part of offline engagement
• Work with Division teams to manage KOL values matching, brand causes and update KOL community for corporate brand advocacy.
• Network with CA&E function colleagues globally for best practices deployment.
• Develop reporting and analyses to effectively monitor, analyze and maximize return on investment for communications campaigns/efforts. Such as market reputation study, social listening, media monitoring and internal Pulse survey.
• Oversee country intranet, social media and other digital platforms
• Manage department budget and resources effectively
YOUR PROFILE :
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
• At least 10 years of accumulated experience in communications field.
• Creative thinker with exceptionally strong skills in narrative and multimedia editorial for maximum audience engagement.
• Knowledge of local media ecosystem, and other key influencers for corporate brand advocacy
• Understanding of digital media trends and platforms
• Experience advising executive leadership on communication-related matters
• Proven track record of delivering innovative programs and campaigns.
• Strong planning skills and ability to work across a matrix global environment.
• Ability to initiate and prioritise in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
