What You Will Learn: 

This role Respects Accounting, Financial and Internal Control Policies and Procedures to support major financial objectives and policies. Prepares daily/weekly/monthly financial reports, presents analyses, and assists in the monthly financial close. Assists in the preparation of budgets/trends and prepares ad hoc reports. Creates specific recommendations for reducing costs and improving profits.  

  • Analyze and report direct variances (including freight, purchase price variance, consumption, substitution)
  • Support the costing process (work with support departments to create accurate and on time COGS in SAP and communicate to appropriate parties)
  • Support the annual budget process and monthly trend / R&O analysis
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve balance sheet KPIs
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal control and accounting principles
  • Proposes corrective actions to improve the performance of the plant and measures the results 
  • Acts as liaison with other departments

 

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
  • 2-5 years previous work experience in an accounting or finance position, manufacturing experience desired
  • Experience with budgets, expense reports and financial analysis to include trends, budgets, comparative evaluations, actual vs. budget, etc.
  • Transactional expert in SAP preferred – understand technology and coach operational partners
  • Ability to interact effectively with various operational departments and levels of the organization 
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to be clear and concise and to influence and understand the audience
