A Day in the Life

As a Senior Sourcing Buyer, you will be responsible for executing all indirect sourcing activities within the portfolio (marketing services, corporate services, retail and promotions, media and CMI, IT/Electronic Devices, and Logistics & Industrial) in line with the Group's sourcing strategies and policies.

Reporting to the Purchasing Director in Italy, within the Finance Department, you will be a key partner for: creating and managing strategic sourcing RFPs (Request for Proposal), optimizing costs while improving overall value by evaluating category trends, stakeholder management, supplier management, contract negotiation, aligning and reviewing spending, generating performance and validating with the finance community, market and trend analysis, category innovations, and proposing/implementing initiatives to contribute to L'Oréal's sustainability goals.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis and Management: Identifying and analyzing business requirements, managing demand, and consolidating spend analysis by category.
  • Relationships and Strategy: Building strong relationships with national and zone category teams, translating global/zone strategies for Italian needs, and contributing to influencing global initiatives.
  • Negotiation and Compliance: Leading Italian RFPs and contract negotiations, ensuring full compliance and protecting the business.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Developing a deep understanding of the market, proposing sustainable sourcing projects, and contributing to the objectives of sustainability programs.
  • Budget and Relationships: Building budget exercises and financial trends with the finance community, managing strategic relationships with suppliers.

 

We Are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented professional with solid experience in the purchasing sector and a strong team mindset. The ideal candidate should possess:

 

  • Analytical and Financial Skills: Demonstrate a high level of analytical and financial competence.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, both in Italian and English.
  • Leadership and Influence: Have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions.
  • Autonomy and Dynamism: Be autonomous with a high level of dynamism and energy.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing department and proven experience in any of the reference categories.
