 What You Will Do:

Responsible for coordinating and performing various activities pertaining to the L’Oréal Plant Pilot Lab, matching and development of shaded make-up products, stay informed of changes to the quality system, assist in implementing new initiatives and drive continual improvement. This includes developing and training on quality system procedures and work instructions, promoting knowledge of the quality system throughout the plant, assisting in quality related problem-solving activities, and following through on corrective & preventive action plans.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelors’ Degree (Science degree a plus);  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Quality related field discipline preferably in a manufacturing environment;
  • Creative/Color Artist Background Preferred;
  • Continual improvement focus;
  • Analytical approach to review of data and results;
  • Be self-motivated and work independently as well as in a team setting;
  • Proactive and analytical approach to problem solving.  
  • Must be able to pass a color test 

Judgement and Decision Making:

Decisions made by the Plant Pilot Lab Tech can directly impact the success of the manufacturing team. They must make these decisions with only intermittent involvement from Supervision based on the knowledge gained from their trainings. Safety: Fully supports an independent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of Zero Accidents. Quality: Supports and embraces the quality mission of the plant. Delivery: The ability of the lab analyst to meet the launch demands ensures that our customers r Cost: Operation of the lab tech activities according to the standards ensure that cost to produce is aligned with the financials. Continuous improvement of RTFT will reduce cost to produce.

Environment: Supports and embraces the environmental mission of the plant. Morale: Must be an actively engaged employee exhibiting a positive attitude and a focus on teamwork to achieve best in class results.


Essential Duties:

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

1. Complete shade pilots prior to plant first productions – includes documentation and communication (written/verbal) to ensure manufacturing team has formula set up for success.

2. Work closely with RAI and Marketing groups to develop new shades for program extensions of existing architectures.

3. Support first production batching.

4. Perform various Quality Investigation activities in support of Quality, Performance and Efficiency initiatives, e.g. RTFT, process improvement etc.  This may include preparing protocols, gathering and analyzing data, capability studies, statistical analysis and preparation of reports.

5. Conduct activities that coordinate and support the “Right the First Time” quality control program

6. Perform other duties as necessary

7. Ensures safe and clean work environment, maintaining waste properly and implementing L’Oréal environmental programs
