The Business Category Lead will work in close collaboration with Commercial and Marketing teams to provide key category insight and strategies for growth.

Focus on specific category strategies based on deep shopper, consumer, customer and competitor insight and build action plans that optimize category growth.
Lead the vision and strategy of how we can profitably grow CPD share within our categories using the category and brand levers.
Use the RGM roadmap to develop sustainable valorization for our brands and categories, including Golden Rule development, valorization strategy, CPI opps and mix strategies. Lead the embedment of RGM with the commercial and marketing teams
Act as ‘go to’ expert in your specific category. Analyse multiple sources of data to fully understand your specific categories.
Prepare compelling strategy stories to support in providing concept sells that enable retailer Category and Commercials teams land growth opportunities.
Consolidate and arbitrate the Customer Differentiation strategy across all brands within the category

Develop full understanding of ACNielsen, Kantar panel and adhoc research studies and use appropriate data to drive understanding of accounts.

Highly numerate – strong analytically
Confident, enthusiastic and persuasive in manner. Pragmatic and methodical problem solver.
Highly organized with excellent time management & prioritization skills.
Self-sufficient, resilient and also adept at galvanizing colleagues outside of your direct team.
Track record of developing a sharp insight and building this into action to optmise sales and profit.

Experience in a commercial environment with a strong understanding of P&Ls and profitability.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Excellent presentation skills with attention to detail for creating sound commercial arguments
Strong influencing skills – you will be required to demonstrate thought leadership as well as drive to execution
Experience in a fast paced sales / retail environment
