A Day in the Life
As a Head of Controlling reporting to the General Manager of the division, you will be a key business partner to the the management committee for the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty division across the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia hub, based in Prague. You will play a crucial role in driving value creation, both financially and non-financially, within a dynamic and collaborative Finance team.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with the General Manager and management committee, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement across all business areas.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budget planning process, working closely with the commercial and business planning teams. Analyze monthly performance using automated reporting tools, identifying trends and variances, and providing timely explanations.
- Value Creation & Performance Management: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards financial and non-financial goals. Identify and quantify opportunities for value creation across the business.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to L'Oréal's internal control procedures and financial regulations. Implement best practices to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a team of two, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and results-oriented finance professional with a proven track record in commercial controlling. They possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Financial Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and controlling, with a strong emphasis on commercial controlling.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and develop insightful recommendations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. (Nice to have)
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A positive and open-minded approach, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
