The Global Funding Manager is a newly created role in the Global Public Affairs function, in the Corporate Affairs and Engagement organization. He/She is L’Oréal’s lead for securing funding collaborations that will support and boost L’Oréal’s activities. The role is global, and requires political, analytical, and technical aptitudes. He/she plays a key role in engaging both with external stakeholders to raise L’Oréal’s global funding strategy as well as with the zones to help identify and implement funding collaborations.


The Global Funding Manager
  • Identifies and anticipates relevant sources of funding/grant to help L’Oréal’s operations and boost L’Oréal’s business opportunities.
  • Identifies and anticipates political trends and helps building funding/grant strategies at zone level.
  • Develops and implements sustainable and effective funding/grant programs in alignment with L’Oréal’s policy areas.
  • Engages with external parties including government officials with a view to position L’Oréal and gather intelligence on opportunities.
  • Manages overall funding/grant efforts including reviewing grant proposals, optimizing administration aspects, financial reporting and ensuring compliance with grant regulations
  • Informs relevant functions of funding/grant development impacting the Group.
  • Develops and maintains a network of relevant external stakeholders 
Engagement with colleagues/function:
  • Coordinates across L’Oréal’s dynamic ecosystem to define, develop, and implement funding/grant research and securing strategies.
  • Works collaboratively with Policy Directors and the Global Campaigns Manager, as well as operational departments to identify the business impacts of ongoing and upcoming policies as well as societal trends and weak signals.  
  • Organises regular exchanges of views with the Global Policy and the Global Campaigns Manager.


  • 10+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Degree in business administration, law, political science or equivalent.
  • Experience working closely with and maintaining strong network with senior leaders including government officials.
  • Budgeting and accounting experience.
  • Knowledge in auditing policies, donor agencies.
  • Experience in successfully leading global funding/grant strategy.
  • Experience in managing large, cross-functional projects across a range of countries, cultures, and business units.
  • Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, ability to operate and make clear decisions in an environment of some uncertainty.
  • Excellent, collaborative leadership style and ability.
  • Fluent in English & French
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills.

  • Capacity to create and maintain relationship with external parties including government officials.
  • Strong communication skills including excellent writing skills.
