Assistant Vice President

POSITION SUMMARY

NYX Professional Makeup is looking to hire a Global Marketing Assistant Vice President. The individual will manage the worldwide marketing strategy, activation, and management of all product categories and NPD innovation. The individual will work closely with all the internal cross-functional teams, as well as the zone and country partners around the world to ensure highly relevant, breakthrough content that delivers strong growth for the company across consumer awareness, brand equity and sales. You must be passionate, engaged, and able to balance both creative and analytical competencies. A strong interest in the makeup space and deep knowledge of the global beauty landscape is critical.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and evolve brand equity, including consumer research projects
  • Partner closely with Product Development team to ensure innovative, consumer-centric, and fiscally viable seasonal paniers (Spring, Summer, Fall, Holiday limited edition)
  • Work closely with Finance and Supply team partners to deliver on yearly sales targets
  • Enhance and evolve marketing activation model across diverse omni-channel business in variety of different countries (owned retail-led vs chain-led); push model to further global Ecommerce growth targets
  • Create and execute strategic yearly global animations plans; oversee local animations calendars to ensure worldwide synergies to maximize launch efforts
  • Lead best in class content creation with both external agency partner and internal Creative team; act as key brand liaison with external agency partner (including comprehensive shoot briefs, talent selection with Social Media team, makeup/hair/wardrobe creative decision-making, on-set oversight, post production/editing work)
  • Develop new paid amplification model for the brand, working closely with zone/country partners on local plans as well as with external Media partners on results tracking and creative best practices; implement learnings to enhance all creative content
  • Create and present to management as necessary
  • Oversee, nurture and develop two category Managers (one for EYE/LIP and the other for FACE/PRO/HOLIDAY); these roles are responsible for the following:
    • White space analysis and portfolio category mgmt (adds/deletes)
    • NPD benchmarking and forecasting oversight and alignment with PD/Finance/Supply
    • NPD animations concepts, big ideas, key copy, and 360 activations packs
    • Core pillar mgmt and activation (including dedicated 360 animations)
    • Global sales and animations results tracking plus best practices sharing

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or International Business, Master’s degree preferred
  • Highly knowledgeable and passionate about the beauty world and beauty trends
  • Minimum of 8+ years of marketing experience, with minimum of 3 spent in a global capacity
  • Proven track record of developing high performance teams
