OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager/Sr Manager of Social Media Content & Influencer Marketing role on the Garnier Brand Communications Team will focus on working with the team to create best in class owned and earned social content for the Garnier master brand and all categories, including skincare, hair color, and hair care. This role is critical for creating an elevated brand aesthetic, persona and voice for the brand on Tik Tok, Instagram/Stories, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  The goal is to build brand love and advocacy on Garnier social platforms, grow an engaged community of Gen Z influencers and recruit new and younger consumers into the brand.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Social Media:
    • The Manager will work with the team to develop strategic, engaging and consumer-friendly content for the master brand and all categories (skincare, hair color and hair care) on @GarnierUSA owned platforms to grow an engaged community of fans across platforms
    • The Manager will work with the team to develop a strong tone of voice and persona on each Garnier social platforms
    • The Manager will be responsible for the production of always on Garnier IG/Instastories, Tik Tok, Facebook and YouTube
    • The Manager will be responsible for preparing assets for posting; cropping, color correcting, retouching for all Garnier social platform assets, Ecomm and digital/CRM assets
    • The Manager will assist the Brand Comms team with planning campaign, seasonal and evergreen social strategies and lead the development of the monthly social editorial calendar
    • The Manager will create copy for posts taking into account the brand’s voice and persona to ensure that we are pushing out engaging and relevant content to our audience
    • The Manager will design and maintain presentation decks for internal presentations
    • The Manager will host regular reviews of competitors for the Brand Comms Team so we are abreast of what others are doing plus ensure highest creative executions for Garnier
    • As a data-driven marketer, the Manager will oversee reporting and metrics to ensure KPIs are met  
    • The Manager should thoroughly understand ever-evolving social metrics and liaise with CMO/CMI on the evolution of tracking ROI
  2. Influencer Marketing
    • The Manager will build relationships with influencers and be very familiar with their content and audience to inform how the brand will work with influencers through earned and owned content
    • The Manager will attend influencer events/shoots/activations to activate the strategy  with live and in-situation content creation   
  3. Ways of Working and Project Management:
    • Manager is responsible for working collaboratively to develop content to support the Garnier brand in the social space with the in-house Creative Team, our influencer marketing agency of record and content partners
    • Manager is responsible for collaborating with all relevant cross functional teams, including but not limited to: Ecomm, Eshopper, Tech Center, Marketing, ICC, Creative Team, etc.  
  • Manager is responsible for managing vendors on projects and meeting goals
  • Manager is responsible for accurately tracking spending
 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • 5+ years’ experience in social media content creation, influencer marketing for a brand (in-house or agency) with a rich digital portfolio available for review as part of the interview process with an emphasis on IG Stories and static IG posts
  • Must have a strong understanding of the social media space, the Tik Tok and Instagram communities, influencers, conversations, and trends
  • Must have an excellent eye for design and photography
  • Deep knowledge of photoshop
  • Video editing skills is a plus
  • Must be organized but also nimble and flexible to adjust to real-time demand
  • Experience in graphic design; typography, layout, composition
  • Beauty, CPG, or Fashion experience is preferred
  • Experience managing production partners and vendors
  • Ability to manage budgets accurately
  • Can think creatively and strategically with strong analytic skills
  • Experience with social tools/influencer tools like Net Base, Rival IQ, Sprinklr and Traackr
  • Must have a very collaborative spirit and ability to work cross-functionally with many different teams on projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral)
  • Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métier
  • Demonstrated L’Oreal USA Competencies: Strong leadership and organizational skills, entrepreneurial management, achiever and innovator
  • Must be professional, energetic and have a positive attitude
  • Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Ability to travel for work outside of NYC (mostly LA and Miami)
