To stimulate our Beauty Tech transformation, we have created the Tech Accelerator, a product delivery organization (startup inside the big ship) to deliver transversal use cases that will drive the tech transformation of the group, covering all business and functional domains under a network of international hubs (Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, New York, Toronto). 


As a Data Scientist working in the Tech Accelerator, you will use your expertise in Machine Learning to solve problems with high business impact and deploy models at scale using cutting-edge technologies.


We are looking for a Data Scientist to join L'Oréal in New York City to work on missions such as:


  • Use Machine Learning on data coming from different e-commerce sources to maximize traffic and sales or our products.
  • Implement and research on the state-of-the-art Large Language Models and Diffusion models.



What You Will Learn:

  • Use Machine Learning on data coming from different e-commerce sources to maximize traffic and sales or our products.
  • Implement and research on the state-of-the-art Large Language Models and Diffusion models.
  • Creating and deploying innovative solutions based on Machine Learning for a variety of other use cases, addressing multiple businesses of L’Oréal.
  • Provide expertise to different business stakeholders to assess feasibility of new use cases.
  • Share knowledge with peers and help animate an internal community of Data Scientists.
  • Work in collaboration with teams of internal and external partners with diverse profiles (Data Engineers, UX/UI designers, Full-Stack developers, DevOps engineers etc.)


What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone with a background in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or any related quantitative field.


Secondly, in this specific position, it will be important for you to some knowledge and/or interests in:

  • Machine Learning
  • Programming with Python.
  • SQL
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Data Science ecosystem: pandas, numpy, scipy, sklearn, tensorflow, langchain, etc.
  • Development tools: git, docker, terraform, CI/CD (Jenkins, circle-ci, …)
  • Working on cloud platforms: Google Cloud, Databricks.
  • MLOps: Vertex AI, dvc, mlflow etc.
  • Diffusion Models and Large Language Models (Generative AI)


And finally, you may not be an expert with all requirements listed above, however, you must show curiosity, innovation, strategy, people development and entrepreneurship.
