What You Will Do:
L'Oréal is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the digital team responsible for Amazon sales in the U.S.
The role requires the ability to strategize and execute the best proactive and reactive digital programs to meet L'Oréal’s sell-in and sell-out objectives. This includes accountability for sales, content, customer experience and category development, while working cross-functionally and executing programs across various digital media platforms to position L'Oréal brands as ecommerce leaders. Candidate must be outgoing, have strong analytical and marketing skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to successfully bring projects to life.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
Account Management/Sales Responsibilities:
- Own the Amazon P&L for L’Oréal brands
- Responsible for meeting annual and monthly sales goals, including ownership of budgets and trends.
- Run and analyze relevant reports on Amazon Retail Analytics Premium and present findings and recommendations
- Ensure monthly updates to forecast and reconcile to the plan
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to help meet and exceed goals
- Execute Daily Account Management
- Work with Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) contact to ensure full alignment on brand strategy, sales goals, and merchandising plan execution
- Work with brand marketing teams to ensure strategy is being executed and optimized
- Oversee processing of purchase orders and manage related requests
- Work closely with Customer Service to ensure all account needs are met
- Reconcile tracking, inventory and order cuts and provide updates to Amazon
- Flag price updates, out of stocks, product discontinuations and proper replacements
- Work with AVS, Finance and Demand Planning on order forecasting
- Promotional Planning & Execution
- Own promotional planning calendars and coordinate any changes and impact to business and budget to the brands and sales teams
- Plan tentpole and targeted promotions according to business goals and objectives
Overall Marketing Responsibilities:
- Best-in-class Content Creation
- Oversee product set up process and ensure all forms for new launches and pre orders are complete to meet launch deadlines
- Work with brand teams on content creation and optimization, including copy, videos, images, alt images, A+ content, and content creation in photo studio
- Oversee SEO optimization of detail pages, brand stores and website updates
- Create a completed plan to launch, display, support and promote new products and hero products
- Work with brand liaisons in the US and DMI to ensure alignment and that needs are met
- Customer Centricity Support
- Oversee monitoring of customer user generated content (reviews, Q&As) and facilitate response working with the brands and the Customer Care Center
- Work closely with marketing and sales to ensure strategy is being executed and optimized
- Work on search optimization to ensure we are reaching the right customer
- Category Management
- Maintain L'Oréal’s leadership in category management on Amazon by collaborating with internal brand teams, AVS and Amazon category leaders
- Manage editorial calendar, content calendar and other requests with marketing and copywriter
- Use market research and creative and strategic thinking for category evolution strategies
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years in a strategy or analytics-focused role, working on projects that have enabled building strong quantitative skills and business judgment (e.g., management consulting)
• Ecommerce experience (experience working with Amazon is ideal, but not required)
• Strong understanding of the Digital Media and Beauty Industry
• Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms
• Demonstrates interest and enthusiasm for marketing and communications (advertising, digital marketing, PR, media)
• Skilled at executing within tight timeframes with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability
• High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables) and data analysis
• Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint programs and the ability to create high impact presentations
• Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed
