COMPENSATION ANALYST/SENIOR ANALYST

Reports to:      Compensation Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for providing daily operational and administrative support for compensation programs & processes including Survey management, Salary administration, Job leveling, ensuring quality client service while supporting L’Oreal & SalonCentric business needs for cost-efficiency and to attract and retain high quality talent. 

Candidate will interact with Human Resources, Payroll, HRIS, HR Operations, external survey vendors, as well as all other Compensation  service providers supporting L’Oréal & SalonCentric  compensation programs.     

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the compensation team as an expert for Human Resources, providing technical expertise on compensation administration
  • Support sales bonus review for plans with multiple frequency (annual, quarterly, monthly)
  • Conduct ongoing salary surveys to support salary structure maintenance, salary budgeting and the annual salary review process
  • Prepare compensation proposals, job pricing; job evaluation
  • Support acquisition activity related to job and compensation integration
  • Accountable for accuracy and integrity of all compensation reporting
  • Research HRIS databases to resolve data issues related to employees’ jobs and relative eligible compensation
  • Support the ongoing and annual communication for Human Resources
  • Maintain communication sites for compensation tools & resources including the HR & Employee Portals
  • Support the administration of the L’Oreal USA Service Award Program

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Familiarity with compensation best practices and trends
  • Strong compensation financial analysis and problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities
  • Understanding of the legal aspects of compensation plan design and administration
  • Solid knowledge of employee data systems and integration points (preferably Willis Towers Watson Reward)
  • Familiarity with large survey vendor processes such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, KornFerry Hay, Empsight

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL:

  • Have strong financial analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Have 2-3+ years experience in compensation administration
  • Be detailed oriented
  • Exhibit a professional attitude with a keen sense of urgency in completing tasks
  • Have excellent office organizational skills
  • Have the ability to take direction from several people; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Have the ability to maintain complete confidentiality of employee records
  • Have proficiency (advanced capability) in Microsoft Office Suite of products:

         -  Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

         -  Microsoft Outlook for email, calendar, contacts, scheduling and task management
