Lead the collection and systematic analysis of timely consumer & shopper data, ensuring information quality and accuracy
Lead and manage consumer and shopper intelligence collection and reporting for the cluster MYSG
Systematic analysis & consolidation of consumer and shopper data points. Inform the group and divisions on key opportunities based on these data points:   

·        Analyze latest consumer and shopper trend to inform the cluster group business strategy

·       Generate consumer and shopper insights. Activate insight generation workshop to embed into marketing plans (products, services, communication)

·       Strategize effective consumer and shopper journey that help guide marketing & new product launch plans 

·      Propose and formalize the scope of the market research projects (objectives, timeframes, human and material resources, costs), manage the relationships with external agencies, ensuring the correct use and application of the Group's methodologies

·       Collect and analyze consumer & shopper trends for all categories, all divisions; curate monthly trend report based on business needs.  

·       Analyze consumer & shopper digital behavior insights of target audience/ consumers

·       Track brand performance and identify new rising brands that are of importance for the Group to watch

·       Work together with the zone CMI teams to ensure that consumer and social data is correctly transferred and to exchange best practices

Lead the maintenance and update of consumer data file management (population, addressable target pivot, penetration, consumer audience etc) and project related matter.

·       Systematically collect, maintain and analyze data from Euromonitor, Department of Statistics, Statista and other data sources

·       Monitor the activities of local beauty related brands

·       Drive understanding of strategic consumer segments (Muslim consumers, Gen Z consumers, Gen M consumers etc)

·       Alert the group on latest consumer & shopper insight trends

General Criteria & Profile

  • Degree or Masters holder with passion towards consumer and data
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in relevant insight field (agency or client) – at least 2 successful years in consumer & shopper insight curation role
  • Ability to work with new data sources and integrate multiple data source to form insightful takeout
  • Familiar with ad hoc research studies and methodology
  • Curious, open minded, pragmatic and able to adapt quickly to changes a plus
