Overview

The L’Oreal Active Cosmetics Division (ACD) is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the eBusiness team, responsible for driving online sales across Target, Walmart, Ulta, and other Key Accounts.

The eRetail Paid Search Manager is responsible for running paid search in-house and with agencies across platforms for ACD Brands: Cerave, La Roche-Posay, Vichy and Dermablend. This involves building, monitoring and optimizing data-driven search campaigns, leading strategy with our internal stakeholders, partnering with external agencies to ensure the campaign craft is built to achieve business goals, and being hands-on in other related search activation in order to fuel the sales planned for the eRetail channels.

Candidate must have eCommerce experience, strong analytical, writing and research skills, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be a clear communicator, outgoing and able to champion ideas and strategic point of views with internal and external stakeholders. Strong emphasis on attention to detail, curiosity and interest to discover valuable insights, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BI tools, for accuracy and efficiency. Must be interested in developing or sharpening media skill set, eager to learn and be challenged for growth in an ever-changing Retail environment. Understands Media metrics and is excited by the business potential through tactical, efficient Search strategies.


Responsibilities

Paid Search Execution and Management:

  • Develop and execute campaign structure and strategy, targeting tactics, and cadence for reporting, performance reviews and forward planning
  • Test new ad copy and landing pages on an evergreen basis to improve ad relevancy, visibility and sales opportunity
  • Constantly look for ways to improve our targeting, bidding logic, and budget allocation.
  • Conduct search campaign optimization tasks throughout the campaign life-cycle (keyword mining and targeting optimizations, bidding, A/B tests etc.)
  • Determine areas for improved optimization and communicate required actions across the business to drive implementation

Internal and External Partnerships:

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an integrated strategy that achieves brand objectives, site relevancy and discoverability
  • Own relationship with key partners such as agencies (Criteo), Kenshoo and Retailer Media teams
  • Support and help develop strategic roadmaps, test plans, and risk/benefit analysis
  • Tactfully question internal and external partners to understand their goals, consult with them and recommend better solutions, approaches, and outcomes

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Meticulously manage budgets and pacing across multiple PPC Campaigns, forecast spend and sales to proactively communicate risk or recommendations
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of all advertising campaigns including, but not limited to revenue, campaign performance, click and conversion rates, ROAS, daily ad spend 
  • Aggregate data across brands & multiple different reporting systems; partner with data lead for reporting automation via BI tools
  • Turn data into a story to provide regular updates to internal teams to share performance, business impact, and learnings for action
  • Initiate performance deep dives to identify insights and/or proactively problem solve before issues arise


Required Experience

  • 3+ years in an eCommerce, Analytics or Sales Planning role
  • Advanced in Excel, data analysis and visual modeling
  • Experience analyzing performance data and summarizing / communicating findings via reports and high impact presentations
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms
  • Strong understanding of the Retail Industry and interested in Digital Media
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate solid experience in pulling, mining, and synthesizing data into stories
  • Must be skilled at executing within tight timeframes with attention to detail and accuracy
