Supply-Chain & Finance Project Manager – UK&I IT (Permanent)


Be a dynamic, energetic and resilient Project Manager able to demonstrate true leadership in the roll-out of key Supply-Chain, Finance and New Brands Integration projects.

Reporting into the Business Relationship Team, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams in the delivery of a range of projects within the Supply-Chain and Finance areas. The initial main focus of this newly created role will involve supporting the build of the new UKI warehouse fulfilment factory, including new Warehouse management systems, automation and other peripheral solutions. You will also be involved in welcoming new brands to the L’Oréal family, Operational Excellence programs and Finance Harmonization initiatives, requiring a leading, mature and collaborative approach.

As a key hub for Pilot projects, driving the continued growth of the L’Oréal brands, you can expect to be spearheading the roll-out of European initiatives in the UKI, working with EMEA and Global IT teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment on a broad portfolio of both local and international projects. It will also mean close, cooperative relationships with an active, collaborative business community to ensure that we maximize the benefit of new technology.

Your key job accountabilities

  • Deliver on time, on cost, projects of the highest quality through effective planning and documentation, following established L’Oréal project methodology and governance
  • Ensure that all projects are properly resourced and supported by both business and IT work streams
  • Business expectations converted into signed-off business requirements
  • Integration into the existing application landscape involving appropriate contacts
  • Coordinating testing and training completed by key users who will provide on-going first line support
  • Providing high-quality support to the key users and hence to the wider business community during and after the projects, including maintaining focus on Group norms and legal obligations, including data processing and IT security
  • Ensure the correct transfer of knowledge to ensure quality of operation

You Have:

  • Significant work experience, with evidence of numerous successful project implementations
  • Experience of successful Supply-Chain project roll-outs is essential
  • Hands-on knowledge in a major ERP. Exposure to SAP is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of managing projects with dispersed teams or organisations with geographical spread
  • Highly organised with prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while under pressure
  • The flexibility to travel to various sites in the UK (and potentially abroad), including overnight stays at certain times.
