Description:
A domain Architect is a fulltime position within Enterprise Architecture team
in ‘Strategy and Governance’ dept. of AMER IT. This function will represent
Enterprise Architecture office in Americas Zone, while ensuring full
partnership with the global EA Office.
Domain Architect will interface with application (front-end/back-end), Security, Data privacy, DevOps, and, Infrastructure, delivery architects, BRMs, PMO’s and IT/Business stakeholders. While partnering on the technical and business architecture governance by delivering the business capabilities, Macro processes interconnectivity with IT applications, and services.
This is a role that combines information technology, and ingenuity and would best be filled by someone with a technical background in Computer Science.
The ideal candidate will be motivated and a detail-oriented professional who can lead architecture governance contributing to the domain / solution design, deployment, run and change processes.
The ideal candidate must have a thriving passion for the next generation architecture, application, and data governance.
Responsibilities:
Understand business drivers and work closely with business to understand their strategy and translate that into an IT environment.
Build Blueprint, designing and using an EA framework (like TOGAF), and mastering modelling languages used for blueprinting (BPMN, Archimate)
Participate to Enterprise Architecture governance body by reviewing a project architecture and align project teams on improvements/solutions based on best practices, IT Strategic directions and current state of the art;
DA (Design Authority) qualification assessment by determining the “in-scope “applicability
Project assessment quality for DA review
Design, maintain and update as-is and to be blueprints for one domain
Identify key risk areas in domain landscape (obsolescence, complexity…)
Align key business domain stakeholder on relevant architectural topics
Own and lead Application portfolio mgmt. (APM) governance for the AMER zone, in adherence of the global APM governance guidelines.
Partner in the global APM Steer Co. by aligning and collaborating on CI/CD, strategic roadmap, app rationalization, etc.,
Lead AMER continuous application compliance through APM governance by guaranteeing the global KPI’s.
Support and lead application bulk migration to APM, as required.
Provide APM upskilling across application owners, Champions, BRM’s, PMO and IT Users community
Contribute in development of the technical specification documents and/or position papers
Capture, document and communicate domain & technical architecture knowledge
Contribute to definition of architecture principles, patterns and best practices
Contribute to services KPI monitoring
Animation of Architect and application owner community:
Educate, mentor and train domain/governing architects, application managers & project managers in domain
Create and animate AMER community of architects, articulating expert network
Build strong relationship with a solution vendor and ensure continuous learning and knowledge sharing through internal and external expert network
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders by leveraging strong leadership, negotiation, and technical skills
Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype
IT strategic development skills
Understanding business models while applying the systems thinking
Understanding and performing operational tasks
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Information Technology or other technical
discipline or equivalent work experience
Understanding of design principals when to use API gateway, ESB, MFT and ETL
Ability to evaluate the project position from business / technical architecture aspects addressing business capabilities, macro processes, application, integration, data, privacy, security, DevOps, and Infrastructure elements.
Minimum 10 years’ technical experience in IT for CPG Company
Minimum 5 years in an engineering capacity coordinating complex, multi-group projects with team members in geographically dispersed location.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle including; waterfall, scrum, and Agile would be plus
Tech platform expertise: ServiceNow APM/PPM/ITSM, CA API / Apigee - API authentication model (oAuth, SAML federation), Tibco ESB, IBM MFT, Informatica PowerCenter/BDM, Power BI, Google looker, BigData, Data warehousing, data governance, DevOps, and cloud services (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) across public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP and SalesForce)
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
