Job description

  • Manage our inbound shipments from both our 3rd party vendors and inhouse plants
  • Communicate daily with our 3rd party DC, communicating our priorities status, ensuring on-time receiving, as well as escalating any risks
  • Work closely with the internal operations departments, to communicate daily on priority shipment status and highlight any delays
  • Follow-up and track resolution with our open manufacturing and inhouse plant teams on non-conformities created by our 3rd party DC
  • Manage the relationships between our freight forwarders and the DC
  • Troubleshoot and track any receipt issues (ie. IT failures, partial receipts, inbound damage claims)
  • Update/create reports:
    • Weekly inbound visibility report
    • Bi-annual CO2 reporting
    • Monthly inbound and outbound cost reporting
  • Be a back-up to our outbound customer care specialist, when needed:
    • Process and drop outbound orders for our IDC (Int’l. Distribution Center) and CDC (Consumer DC)
    • Respond promptly to our affiliate's inquiries and requests
    • Create invoices
    • Create and send daily shipment tracker to our affiliates
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned

Skills Required

  • College Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlookups, formulas)
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and multi-task
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Team player who can also function well independently 
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding
  • Experience in working with a manufacturing plant or distribution center
  • Must be proficient in International Freight – Import/Export
  • Understanding of hazardous materials preferred
