We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Physical Distribution Manager to lead and optimize our supply chain. This role is within the Supply Chain/Logistics department, reporting to the Physical Distribution Director of the Central America & Andean Region. The scope of this position covers Perú

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the physical distribution strategy for Perú, encompassing inbound logistics, warehousing, and outbound logistics for both the domestic market and export operations. Leverage data analysis to optimize the distribution network, carrier selection, and warehouse management strategies.
• Budgetary Control & Financial Acumen: Develop, manage, and meticulously track the distribution budget for Perú, demonstrating strong financial accountability. Analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and present budget proposals and performance reports to regional leadership. Provide detailed variance analysis and justifications for budget adjustments.
• Inventory Management (Inbound): Oversee inventory control processes for incoming goods, optimizing stock levels to meet demand projections for both domestic and export markets while minimizing storage costs and obsolescence. Collaborate with regional demand planning and production teams.
• Warehouse Operations: Manage all warehouse activities within Perú, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing. Implement best practices to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Oversee warehouse layout, storage capacity planning, and material handling equipment optimization.
• Outbound Logistics (Domestic & Export): Manage all outbound logistics operations for both the domestic Peru market and export shipments. Select and manage transportation carriers (trucks, rail, air, ocean), negotiate rates, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery. Manage export documentation, customs compliance, and other relevant international trade requirements.
• Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all Peruan distribution activities, including inbound, warehousing, and outbound operations. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the Peru market. Implement data-driven corrective actions to optimize performance.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and motivate the Peru distribution team, providing training, development, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Technology Implementation & Optimization: Evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions to enhance distribution processes within Peú, such as WMS, TMS, and other supply chain software. Leverage data integration and analytics capabilities to drive efficiency.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with various internal departments, including sales, marketing, production, and finance, as well as external stakeholders such as customs brokers and freight forwarders, to ensure seamless and efficient distribution operations in Perú. Communicate effectively with regional leadership, providing regular updates on performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Supply Chain, Logistics), or a related field with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis is highly preferred. An MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in physical distribution, logistics, and warehouse management, with a demonstrable track record of success.
• Proven ability to manage budgets effectively and demonstrate strong financial acumen.
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, best practices, and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
