This key role is responsible for brand’s Beauty (Makeup  + Skincare) vision, strategy and business performance with a 95% focus on Makeup.  This is a highly strategic position for a modern marketer that leads the brand’s ambitious goals to drive Makeup growth, gain share in the US market while building upon professional makeup expertise brand equity. Works closely and collaborates daily with Brand Engagement/ Social Influence, Omni Client Experience/Retail Marketing, Consumer Activations/ Paid/Search and our key strategic Sales teams. Key relationship owner and liaison to International Marketing counterparts to ensure U.S. needs are met in the development of all products/product concepts, 360 consumer activations, content creation and consumer experiences that bring the renowned Armani Glow to life. Be a thought leader to influence and drive product development based on US brand and local market needs that support Less Is More, Effortless, Glowing makeup.  The ideal candidate is an emphatic leader that motivates and develops direct reports to not only push brand’s strategic vision and business objectives but to also develop personal beauty marketing expertise. Creates and owns sell-out/ retail forecast, share of market goals for the total Beauty business portfolio of items and manage P&L budgets relating to brand marketing responsibilities.

Responsible for preparation of annual business drivers budget in conjunction with SVP Marketing for: samples, media, POS displays/visual weeks, sets, GWPs & special events/tools.  Update budget on a timely basis.  Work with Finance to determine budget trend versus actual and call out any risks/opportunities to maximize.

Responsible for monthly forecasting and actualizing retail sales by brand to be shared with SVP and GM for alignment.  Analyze business, market dynamics (SOM, key competitors, etc.) to stay ahead of the trend.

1.  Strategic Development and Execution of Brand:

·  Build strategy plan, retail forecast and budgets for brand development and growth, owner of relationship with global marketing and effectively influences to meet market needs and grow share of market

·  Lead across cross-functional teams to execute breakthrough  brand strategy/ 360 launch & program  activations, champions makeup artistry brand equity to impact consumer sentiment & insights

·  Collaborate with Omni Client  Retail Experience to implement marketing direction on launch displays and eventing collateral

·  Establish Paid/Owned/earned media strategy with Consumer activation and Brand engagement team, and work with agency to align on media direction and platforms

·  Maintain field contact for sell-thru information and product feedback

·   Works closely with Creative team to implement marketing direction for launch displays, Sephora gondolas and custom brand shops




2.  New Products & Category Strategy :

·  Oversee development of all marketing calendar programs from pillar activations to  product concepts, product names and package co, including set development where applicable – in collaboration with International Marketing

·  Work with CMI team and COE teams to establish appropriate test plans for new products (when applicable)

·  Analyze all pillar and  new product launch results and business impact with focus on Share of market (NPD + non-measured market) KPIs

·  Ensure all launch timetables are met




3.  Budgetary Responsibilities

·  Analyze all pertinent costs on finished goods, samples and collateral to understand impact on total budget

·  Propose and budget marketing programs to support brands.  Follow through with all details of execution and work with finance as needed

·  Prepare information for bi-annual phase-out decisions, reviewing obsolete inventory levels and lost revenue implications

·  Train, manage and develop direct reports

·  Brief and collaborate with Marketing team and cross-functional team for go-to-market strategy and vision for key product bets and animations
