A key strategic role within the L’Oreal R&I organization, reporting to the senior manager PPM HAIR in the Shanghai HUB.
- Strategic inputs to build project ambition and performance evaluation plans
- Lead evaluation design for all innovation projects for the Hair category
- Integrate & plan cross functional programs to deliver strong performance insights
- Lead communication of key project performance results
- To be a strategic partner to Hair Metier on a global hair program to shape strategy and project ambition
- To define and lead evaluation plan at an international level and contribute to global evaluation architecture work
- To partner project leaders to define project briefs, product performance pyramids, consumer targets and key competition for key technology projects
- To propose robust evaluation plan to provide strong body of evidence for product performance in collaboration with labs, innovation direction/consumer market insights, cross functional PPE expertise teams and worldwide Category Performance Leader (CPL)/ Hair Project Performance Manager (PPM) network
- To maximize technology potential by building a worldwide evaluation plan working closely with Category Performance Leader (CPL)/ Hair PPM network
- To synthesize and communicate key project performance as representative for Product Performance Evaluation (PPE) at top management and international meetings
- Anticipate needs and define category evaluation capability development plans working with category general managers and functional capabilities
- Work with teams to continuously build Hair category/product knowledge
- Supervise the budget: balancing demand, business-line priorities and resources
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cosmetic industry, including measurement of product performance, especially with consumers
- Experience of project and/or program management
- Ability to supervise a portfolio and manage a budget
- Proficiency in English – written and spoken
- Preferred area of study include Psychology, Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, Communications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong diplomacy and influencing skills
- understanding of how to excite and motivate across multi-discipline, mostly importantly, with labs
- Knowledge of innovation development, market and consumer insights, sensory & instrumental protocols
- Knowledge and passion in beauty, cosmetic, skincare an advantage
- The ability to think globally is essential
